LAMBORGHINI
There are lots of types of Lamborghini like the Murcielago, the Veneno
and Gallardo.
The first one we are going to see is the Veneno:
The Lamborghini veneno is a limited production supercar based on the Lamborghini Aventador.
This lamborghini was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
When introduced in 2013 at a price of US$4,500,000, it was the most
expensive production car in the world.
The prototype, Car Zero, is
finished in grey and includes an italian flag on both sides of the car.
The lamborghini Veneno can go at 260 km per hour.
Lamborghini built just 5 examples of the Veneno: 2 for itself, and just
three for the customers.
Car Zero, which was the vehicle
on display, will be retained by the factory for the museum.
The vehicle number 0 was unveiled March 2013.
The Veneno Roadster is a limited (maximum 9 units during 2014) version
of the Lamborghini Veneno, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Automobili
Lamborghini. It has exclusive alloy wheels, Rosso Veneno (red) body colour and
2 bucket seats made in forged composite, woven carbon-fibre carbon, skin interior
upholstery.
The Veneno Roadster has a top speed of 356 km/h (221 mph) and goes from
0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.9 seconds.
The vehicle was unveiled on the Italian naval aircraft carrier cavour
docked in Abu Dhabi's Mina Zayed port followed by the 2014 Las Vegas.
The roadster went on sale for €3,300,000
To commemorate Ferruccio Lamborghinis 100th birthday, Lamborghini will
release a limited-edition supercar based on the Aventador. 40 examples (20
coupes and 20 roadsters) will be produced, all of which have been sold out.
The first 1,000 Aventadors were built in 15 months.
Now we are going to see the Lamborghini Gallardo
The Lamborghini Gallardo is a sports car built by Lamborghini from
2003 to 2013.
It is Lamborghinis best selling model with 14,022 being built throughout its lifetime.
On November 25, 2013, the last
Gallardo was rolled off the production line.
Production of the replacement for the Gallardo, the Huracan began in
2014.
The first generation Gallardo came with a firing engine 5 litre 90
degree V10 (4961cc).
The Gallardo offers two choices of transmissions, a conventional
six-speed manual transmission and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulically
controlled semi-automatic robotized manual, which Lamborghini abbreviates to
"E-gear".
The production Spyder model of the Gallardo was unveiled at the Los Angeles show.
During the 2007 Geneva auto show, Lamborghini debuted the Gallardo
Superleggera.
The name paid tribute to the construction style of the first
Lamborghini production model, the 350GT, designed and built by Carroceria Touring and its emphasis on weight reduction.
In the year 2003 Lamborghini threw out to sale from the center of
desing Italdesing this sport car. Its name comes from a cattle raising.
It was one of the most famous vehicles of the of the italians.
In December 2004, two Gallardos were donated to the Italian police in honour of the force's 152nd anniversary, One came from Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. while a second one was donated by
an independent organization.
Now we are going to see the Lamborghini Murcielago
The Murcielago was first
available in North America for the 2002 model year.
The automaker's first new design
in eleven years, the car was also the brand's first new model under the
ownership of German parent company Audi which is owned by Volkswagen.
It is styled by peruvian-born
belgian Luc Donckerwolke, Lamborghini's
head of design from 1998 to 2005.
A roadster version was introduced in 2004, followed by the updated LP
640 coupé and roadster and limited edition LP 650–4 Roadster.
The final variation to wear the
Murciélago nameplate was the LP 670–4
SuperVeloce, powered by the largest and final evolution of the Lamborghini V-12
engine.
In a continuation of Lamborghini's tradition of naming its cars after
stars from the world of bullfighting the Murciélago is named for a fighting
bullthat survived 24 sword strokes in an 1879 fight against Rafael "el
lagartijo" Molina Sanchez at the
Coso de los califas bullring in Cordoba.
Murciélago fought with such passion and spirit that the matador chose
to spare its life a rare honor.
The bull, which came from Joaquin del Val di Navarra's farm, was later
presented as a gift to Don Antonio Miura, a noted local breeder; thus began the
famed Miura line of fighting bulls, and the name for one of Lamborghini's
greatest designs.
The Murciélago is an all-wheel drive supersports car.
With an angular design and an
exceptionally low slung body, the highest point of the roof is just under 4
feet above the ground.
One of the vehicle's most distinguishing features are its scissor
doors. Until
here we come with the Lamborghinis.
BUGGATI
We are going to talk about the Buggati Veyron
The Buggati Veyron is a mid-engine sports car, designed and developed
in Germany by the volkswagen group and manufactured in Molsheim, France, by Buggati Mobiles S.A.S.
The original version has a top speed of 407 km/h (253 mph).
It was named Car of the Decade
and best car award (2000–2009) by the BBC television programme top gear.
The standard Bugatti Veyron also won Top Gear's Best Car Driven All
Year award in 2005.
The Super Sport version of the Veyron is recognised by Guinness world
record as the fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a top
speed of 430.9 km/h (267.7 mph), and the roadster Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse
version is the fastest roadster in the world, reaching an averaged top speed of
408.84 km/h (254.04 mph) in a test on 6 April 2013.
The Veyron's chief designer was Hartmut Warkuss, and the exterior was
designed by Jozef Kabañof Volkswagen, with much of the engineering work being
conducted under the guidance of engineering chief Wolfgang Schreiber.
The Buggati Veyron can reach the 406km in 2,5 seconds.
Several special variants have been produced. In December 2010, Bugatti
began offering prospective buyers the ability to customise exterior and
interior colours by using the Veyron 16.4 Configurator application on the
marque's official website.
MOTOR:
MOTOR:
The Veyron features an 8.0-litre, quad-turbocharged,W16 cylinder
engine, equivalent to two narrow-angle V8 engines bolted together.
Each cylinder has four valves for a total of 64, but the VR8
configuration of each bank allows two ovearhead camshafts to drive two banks of
cylinders so only four camshafts are needed.
The engine is fed by four turbochargers and displaces 7,993 cubic
centimetres(487.8 cu in), with a square 86 by 86 mm (3.39 by 3.39 in) bore and
stroke
The transmission is a dual-clutch direct-shift gearbox
computer-controlled automatic with sevengear ratios, with magnesium paddles
behind the steering wheel and a shift time of less than 150 milliseconds, built
by Ricardo of England rather than Borg-Warner, who designed the six speed DSG
used in the mainstream Volkswagen Group marques.
The Veyron can be driven in either semi-automatic or fully automatic
mode.
A replacement transmission for
the Veyron costs just over US$120,000.
It also has permanent all-wheel drive using the Haldex Traction
system.
German inspection officials recorded an average top speed of the
original version of 408.47 km/h (253.81 mph) during test sessions on Volkswagen
Group's private Ehra-Lessien test track on 19 April 2005.
